attend和join的区别是什么

　　两者都有参加，加入的意思，但是Join 指加入组织、团体等，也指与他人一同做某事，或去某人那里与其呆在一起或做某事，含有“成为其中一员”的意思，意为“参加，加入”，Attend 多指出席会议、参加学术活动、听课等，包含有 presence 的意思，意为“参加，出席”，是正式用词。

　　join多指参加某组织，成为其中的一个成员。

　　I don't have time for a drink now, but I'll join you later.我现在没时间喝一杯，但我一会儿和你一起去。

　　Why don't you ask your sister if she would like to join us for supper?你为什么不问问你妹妹是否愿意和我们一起吃晚饭?

　　对应的短语动词 join in (sth/doing sth)，join in (with sb/sth) 也有类似的意思，例如：

　　She listens but she never joins in.她只是听，但从来不发表意见。

　　二、attend

　　attend常指参加或出席正式的活动或场合，如婚礼，会议等。

　　The meeting is on the fifth and we're hoping everyone will attend.

　　会议在5号，我们希望大家都能参加。
